I am the founder of Edit Ops and the co-founder of The Curious Reader.
In 2021, I founded Edit Ops which provides on-demand editing services to busy writers.
In 2017, I co-founded a niche online literary magazine with a focus on Indian literature. I designed and developed the website, managed the editorial calendar, commissioned and edited submissions and wrote for TCR. I also handled the day-to-day operations.
Edit Ops is just getting started and I am currently ramping up marketing efforts to onboard new customers.
TCR grew to over 40,000 visitors per month, received several mentions in the media and hosted several online and offline events.
I am an editor
Long before I started editing professionally, I was editing for friends and family and often played the part of that annoying person too busy editing the menu to order. On a professional level, I’ve edited a book and worked as the editor of an online literary magazine. I am also an On Deck Writers Fellow and was a member of the inaugural cohort.
I’ve worked with over 100 freelance writers and mentored our in-house writer as well. My style of editing involves both developmental and line editing with the ultimate aim being to work with the writer to publish the best article.
I am a lifelong learner
I love to learn. I use a mix of online courses, books, newsletters, blogs etc to teach myself. So far, I’ve learnt quilling, basic graphic design, HTML/CSS, design thinking, WordPress design and development and much more. I even did a course on learning how to learn.
I like to put what I learn into practice and can often be found tinkering with newly released tools.
